Terrorist killed in ongoing Handwara encounter | KNO

Handwara, Mar 17 (KNO): An unidentified terrorist was killed in an encounter with the security forces in North Kashmir's Kupwara district on Monday. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation at Krumboora forest area of Zachaldara, Rajwar in Police district Handwara this morning. "As the security forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon the forces which was retaliated triggering a gunfight," the official added. In the ensuing gunfight, he said, an unidentified terrorist was killed. The gunfight was on when this report was filed—(KNO)
